What is Staging?

Home staging is the preparation of a home for sale in the real estate marketplace.

By decluttering, adding decor, rearranging furniture, and dressing up the space buyers are able to create an emotional connection with your property. Stagers highlight the positive features and make the home feel current, big, bright, and spacious.

Home stagers bring ease to sellers with their simple and effective process to prepare their property for the market.

When showing a home,

we want buyers to imagine themselves living there.

A staged home will cause buyers to slow down while touring the property. They begin to linger to imagine the endless possibilities of the space and where their furniture and belongings will go.

Staged homes always stand out in buyers’ minds.

According to the National Association of Realtors, allowing a stager to dress up a home by adding decor, rearranging furniture, and simplify the space, sellers can earn up to 10% more on their estate.

What is the Staging Process Like?

  • Tour & Consultation

During a tour of your property, our head stager, Robin, will get a feel for your lifestyle and observe your property through a buyer’s eye. She will identify what pieces of furniture need to be rearranged, taken away, and what could be added to the space— highlighting the positive features of your home. During the consultation, Robin may point out any minor repairs your property will benefit from before hitting the market.

  • De-clutter & De-personalize

Homes that are full of stuff appear small and unmaintained. Family photos, tchotchkes, and sports schedules taped to the fridge can be very distracting for buyers. Simplifying the layout of a house allows buyers to connect with the property and visualize themselves living in the space, as if the home is already theirs.

  • Stage & Decorate

Now that counters are cleared off and the home is simplified, it’s time to shine the best light on your estate to make a great impression. By adding a tasteful and neutral combination of furniture, accessories, and art, we highlight the property’s features and show the endless possibilities.

  • List & Sell

It’s time for your property’s debut! Call in the photographer and list your house on the market. It’s time to turn heads, sell fast, and for more.
